PROF. VELIMIR SALAMON, PHD
The drawings featured on the website are part of Prof. Salamon’s twenty-year research of the Komiža falkuša.
As a member of the research team of Ars halieutika, professor Salamon (University of Zagreb) researched the most important types of Croatian traditional boats, from Istria to Dubrovnik, but the falkuša is at the center of his research. His interdisciplinary research in collaboration with fisherman Ivan Vitaljić Gusla and professor Božanić has made possible the reconstruction of the historic fishing boat from Komiža, i.e. the falkuša named Comeza Lisboa.
